On December 12, 2023, we at xFigureFinance participated in a webinar hosted by APSTE, the Association for Production, Storage and Trading of Electricity. Together with the experts Mariana Yaneva from APSTE, Kiril Marinov from IPS and Dimitar Bartov from Synergon Energy, Kristian Mitov from xFigure represented our team in a discussion on how to make a business plan for industrial batteries.

A new phase is coming in Bulgaria with the development of the market for renewable energy. In the last three years, xFigure has observed a tripling of the installed capacity of photovoltaic plants. This development is favorable for the price of electricity in the country, but also calls into question the preliminary estimates of the profitability of investments based on a commercial selling strategy.

At the event, Kristian presented one of the possible solutions that could improve the prospects for the energy price and the cost of balancing the network, namely energy storage and the “smoothing” of the production curve. Such a solution would shift the peak of production from lunch to the evening peak of consumption.

The experts at the event explained the complex issue of preparing a business plan for industrial batteries, discussing the main technical, financial and market elements that underlie a successful investment. The event achieved success among the participants who gained new perspectives on innovation.
